THURSDAY JUNIORS NOW AT HATO PETERA GROUNDS!
As you have all been aware it has been a very difficult month trying to work in with Council regarding the grounds that have been allocated to Local Touch. Kaipatiki Park on a Thursday afternoon unfortunately is not going to work, due to the reduced amount of fields and restriction on time, as we are required to have the module completed by 6pm, meaning last round at 5.30pm. In previous years our final round has been 6.45pm.
We have been pushing Council for an alternative to ensure that we are able to run a successful module on a Thursday afternoon without affecting the game times and restricting the number of teams entered into that competition.
Therefore, the Thursday Module for the 2016 Junior Touch Season will be at:
HATO PETERA GROUNDS
103 College Road, Northcote
We have been given 8 fields and we have no time restriction on the using the fields.
Module will be for Y1 – Y6 Grades.
We realise that Provisional Entries are due today, but the change in venue from Kaipatiki Park to Hato Petera should not be an issue, it actually should make things slightly easier as it is closer for the schools that have been involved in the Becroft Module.
Our sincere apologies for all the changes that have occurred this season, unfortunately the Council have the final say as there is a lot of juggling with the summer sports (Touch, Football, Cricket, Softball, Tag) and it is out of our control.
